Sitting approximately midway between the town centres of Poole and Bournemouth it is ideally located to take full advantage of the areas renowned shopping and leisure facilities such as the blue flag beaches at Branksome Chine and the world famous Sandbanks Peninsula. Transport communications are excellent as both Bournemouth and Poole enjoy main line railway stations with services to Southampton and London. Bournemouth International Airport and Southampton Airport are also close by and there is a ferry terminus at Poole opposite the Quay with a daily service to Cherbourg in France and the Condor Sea Cat to the Channel Islands.
Inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, Redwood has been designed to sit comfortably within the landscape with a finely balanced horizontal and vertical emphasis reflecting the natural features of the site.
Every room has been planned to maximise direct and ambient light while retaining a unique connection with the sylvan setting. The orientation of each room has been carefully considered to offer contemporary living space whicih also gives privacy and security.
At the heart of the design are the two roof lights which allow diffused sunlight to penetrate right to the centre of the house on the ground and first floors.
Redwood is the epitome of modern living with informal open plan living areas, split levels and a special eye for detail for which David Kingsbury is renowned. A spectacular living area with a central feature fireplace sits comfortably alongside a study, snug, media room, an oversize kitchen family area with a vaulted ceiling as well as a formal dining room. There are four bedroom suites on the first floor, the master one boasting an extensive dressing area and a palatial bathroom with his and her hand basins, a large shower and a feature bath by Villeroy & Boch.
As one would expect, the interior is fitted out to the highest standards with a bespoke fitted kitchen by Leicht and an imaginative lighting design. Redwood is currently presented as a fully furnished show home (certain items only available by separate negotiation) and viewing is highly recommended.
