Elliott Pollard, Managing Partner profile ›
Originally from London, Elliott moved to Somerset and then to Bournemouth in his early teens, where he attended Canford School in Wimborne. Since then he has accrued 30 years of local estate agency experience and founded Mays with Vanessa over 20 years ago.
Elliott has a real passion for estate agency and is actively involved on a day to day basis. He is a strong believer in honesty and integrity. His sales ability and experience has led him to consult successfully for many developers and builders, both local and national, and he is often asked to give his judgment about the viability of development sites.
Elliott is a keen sportsman and plays squash, tennis and golf as often as possible, juggling these alongside family life with Vanessa and their young son.

Vanessa has lived locally all her life and was educated at St. Mary’s Gate School for Girls in Southbourne. Vanessa has 30 years’ worth of estate agency experience, having begun by working for Black Horse Agencies and then managing an office for Alliance and Leicester. After a brief spell in marketing at McCarthy & Stone, the UK's leading developer of retirement homes and apartments, she helped Elliott found Mays over 20 years ago.
Vanessa, whose love for property is infectious, strives to give each client a high level of customer service through her advice and personal attention.
Vanessa loves to travel to warmer climes with her family. She enjoys pilates and long walks on the beach.
Lee Gladdis, Senior Associate profile ›
Having worked in the property sector for 23 years, Lee has experience of a wide range of locations, properties and individual buying and selling scenarios. He established himself initially in the London and Home Counties marketplace and previously owned a successful estate agency in Hertfordshire before moving with his family to Dorset in 2009.
Lee has a good all round business sense, including strong marketing, negotiation and presentation skills. He puts his success and longevity in the industry down to having a professional and mindful attitude, coupled with an ethical approach based on trust and honesty.
Lee embraces living a life in Dorset with his wife and young children, making the most of the beach and countryside that surround this beautiful area.

Born and raised in Christchurch, Jonathan graduated from The Arts University College Bournemouth in 2012 with a degree in graphic design. Upon graduating, Jonathan moved to London and worked in media before moving into management within the hospitality sector. Jonathan's exceptional customer service ethos lead him to estate agency as a career path and found a local independent agent in Bournemouth to ignite his commitment and passion for the industry. Through determination and consistent unwavering effort, Jonathan quickly became the top salesperson in Bournemouth and established himself as a key contact for all matters relating to property. Jonathan has a wealth of experience having dealt with all types of property, ranging from character houses and waterside homes, town centre apartments as well as new build developments. This experience combined with Jonathan's personable approach, positive disposition and professionalism offers homeowners of Bournemouth and Poole an unrivalled level of service when the time comes to moving home.

Lucy started her career in estate agency as a negotiator in Bristol in 2000 aged just 19. After two very happy and productive years there she was given a 12 month sabbatical to travel to South East Asia and Australia giving her the ability to gain priceless life experience maturing both personally and professionally. Returning in 2003 Lucy was given the challenge of expanding the portfolio as Senior Negotiator. Lucy worked her way up the ladder to Branch Manager in her office within the beautiful Mendip Hills. Lucy moved to the Poole area in 2015 and joined our team in the Lilliput Branch bringing her wealth of Estate Agency experience with her.
Lucy spends her spare time with her partner enjoying being so close to our wonderful beaches partaking in water sports and being out and about exploring the beautiful coastal area of Dorset.

Jack started in estate agency straight from sixth form when living in his home town area of Harpenden in Hertfordshire. He worked there for 18 months learning all aspects of agency before making the move to the south coast to live in Bournemouth and continue his flourishing career here. He worked for a corporate agency for a year here learning all about our beautiful area before moving to us at Mays. Jack is experienced in all areas of residential agency and has great customer service skills combined with vast knowledge for his years.
In his spare time Jack spends much time visiting the gym and plays rugby for a local team whilst supporting his beloved Saracens and watching matches as and when he can.

Barry having spent his working life as a retailer in the furnishing industry, moved to Mays in 2010 to work at the Westbourne Office as a Sales Assistant to the branch on a part time basis. Barry has an affable manner and is a highly valued member of the team.
Barry moved to the Bournemouth area from Guildford around 20 years ago, and he now lives locally in Alum Chine with his wife thus giving him a good first-hand knowledge of the local area that Mays serves.

Liz is the longest serving member of staff within the Mays group, having worked in the Westbourne office since 2004. Liz supports the day to day running of the office always greeting both clients and staff with her friendly smile and cheerful persona.
Liz lives with her husband David in Talbot Woods and enjoys spending her spare time at the gym and is a regular at the West Hants Sports Club. Liz has two daughters and four grandchildren.

Sarah Joined Mays in 2014 having previously worked for two of London’s largest corporate Lettings agencies. Sarah has worked in all levels of the property industry for the last 15 years and has built up wonderful relationship with some prominent property professionals, helping many clients to acquire substantial and successful property portfolios.
Having spent her whole career working in Residential Lettings housing various Blue Chip Companies from the UK, Ireland and Europe, Sarah aims create a department which is focused on providing excellent customer service to both landlords and tenants.
Sarah has been in the industry for 20 years and has achieved all the relevant lettings qualifications. Sarah prides herself in keeping our landlords up-to-date with the ever changing letting market and legislation.
Sarah is a keen swimmer and enjoys nothing more than a swim on local beaches.

Charlotte has worked for the previous three years in local letting agents before moving to us here at Mays. She has combined her work with studying and now completed a degree, moving on to her Masters later on in the year. Charlotte has grown up in Poole and has substantial knowledge of the area, giving her a real insight when helping tenants find their new home.
As well as studying Charlotte spends her free time volunteering in the local community.
